Enhanced Smart Teen Project (ESTP) of Education Bureau (EDB)
Our students participated in the ESTP organized by EDB, through which training on discipline and team building has been provided for students to enhance their self-discipline, self-confidence, team spirit and resilience. The ESTP comprises three parts: teacher development, student training and post-camp follow-up activities: (1) Teacher development: a series of professional training activities will be arranged for teachers, including an overnight training camp and about 12 hours of training workshops. The aim of the training is to equip teachers with the skills in leading and implementing the project. (2) Student training: the EDB will continue to collaborate with the Hong Kong Police Force, the Fire Services Department, the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department, the Customs and Excise Department, the Immigration Department and the Civil Aid Service in organising Smart Teen Challenge Camps for Secondary 2 to 5 students. Through a series of discipline and physical training, students’ self-discipline, self-confidence, team spirit and resilience will be enhanced. (3) Post-camp follow-up activities: After the students have completed the Smart Teen Challenge Camps, schools should organise a series of post-camp follow-up activities to strengthen the learning experiences the students acquired in the camps to consolidate and sustain the positive changes.
